Yu Centrik had to identify why the software was not used by certain customers in the Quebec and Ontario legal fields.

Yu Centrik Inc.
The Solution

Above all, our team had to become familiar with the legal domain and the tasks performed by law firms. From a sample of different law firms, we conducted field research to understand and validate the roles, tasks, needs, expectations, and mental processes of those involved in legal research and data collection. Usability inspection and usability testing were also conducted to identify user interface problems.

Our studies led to sophisticated qualitative data analysis, allowing us to create personas, key scenarios and experience map. We were also able to provide key conceptual solutions for the search engine, and specific recommendations for a major system overhaul toward a user-centered design.

Client Testimony:

“I was reviewing the final report from Yu Centrik last week and I was reminded of the incredible experience I had working with you and your team.

Your team of remarkable professionals delivered a high-quality report and went beyond the call of duty to meet tight deadlines and high expectations. As you know, we interviewed a number of research companies and the thing that stood out most about your group was the innovation you showed in your approach to our research brief. This innovation and your group’s insight shined through on our project.

As a customer-focused company this was important and the results of the research Yu Centrik presented will go far in helping us better serve our customers.” Mark Bettiol — Product Manager, Online Research Solutions, Lexis Nexis Canada
