We’ve seen new forms of wireless communication like Bluetooth and RFID spread in recent years. Even more recently, we’ve seen variants like Beacons and NFC (Near Field Communication) emerge. NFC is considered to be secure and widely applicable thanks to its use in mobile phones. Nonetheless, uptake in Canada and the US has been slow.
