What is In-Lab Testing?
Simulate real-world contexts of use (e.g. living room, noisy coffee shop, etc.). We conduct multi-platform and multi-screen tests (using computers, tablets, smartphones, television and/or second screens) in order to capture what obstacles the users face and what aspects of the experience work well in a critical usage scenario.

Observing user tests enables product managers, design teams and developers to observe users’ reactions to the product and to make evidence-based decisions.
When to Use It
In-lab user testing can be carried out at any point in the project phase. Even without the product, a prototype can be used. Ideally, tests are performed frequently and iteratively to refine a product up until the time it is launched.

What is Remote Testing?
We conduct user testing on multi-platform and multi-screen (e.g. computers, tablets, smartphones) digital products and services remotely throughout Canada and internationally with our partners of the UX Alliance network. This can be carried out at the concept stage, during development or post-launch.
What Are the Benefits?
Remote methods enable a deepened understanding of the context of use since participants remain in their own environments under typical conditions such as, background noise, office or home interruptions, or highly customized workstation setups. Many users are busy and don’t have the time to go to a facility.
All stakeholders, including the designers, can remotely attend the broadcast of the live tests and observe the users’ reactions and comments in context. This is an extremely effective way to learn about the problems the users face with the product.

Remote user testing can be performed at all project phases. In fact, remote usability testing can be integrated into the Agile development process.
