We have worked in the field of interactive television for several years and have developed a unique expertise in the field.  We completed various mandates involving usability recommendations for specific functionality, information architecture, and the design of wireframes for a Video On Demand service.  Services provided during  these projects include user research, interaction design and validation tests.

 

Yu Centrik has been involved in designing the next generation of Videotron's interactive television systems since 2010.

 

We studied the television system's remote control in order to design a virtual keyboard which optimized search function; this process was presented at an international conference (EuroITV).  All participants in the quantitative tests performed better with our new alphabetic keyboard as opposed to the "multitap" keyboard (improvement by a factor of 3).  92% of participants stated preference for the alphabetic keyboard citing its simplicity.
